GSK has a strong commitment to go green. This project was competed on their distribution center in York, PA, using 494,000 square feet of roof to install the 3 MW system. We completed the project in 19 weeks. This 3 MW solar array was the largest roof mounted system in the country at the time of construction. The system was designed to account for structural challenges and extensive snow loads. The array did not void the Firestone roof warranty. The PV system generates enough clean energy to completely zero out the facility's peak power electrical load.
